Anyway, since Bear Owsley just died, I thought I’d mention that among his vast quantity of other achievements in life, yep, he too had the opportunity to hand the fat pimply ass of “D.M. Telvis”, aka Jason Luis Michael Hughes Arsupial Rudranath, aka Stinkysupial, aka Sheeze THAT Fucktard Again??, right back to him on a plate.

O.K. I’ll try. First of all Stan Owsley is a brilliant but catankerous individual. Kind of like talking with Walter Matthau’s character of “Grumpy Old Men”. Or may be like Jack Lemmon? Like that but much sharper. Very decisive, always extremely opinionated, but also a very introspective, private person. An intellect to be reckoned with. He is not someone you want a first time debater or interviewer talking to.
He does not like the limelight, and he could care less about chemistry. He is an artist. Some of his work verges on brilliant, some of it is just O.K. If you can draw him out of his hard shell you can have some of the most intuitive, creative and humorous conversations you will ever experience. If you can draw him into a conversation. He will not idly chat about anything and he despises ignorance. I remember one time he told FIAOF/DM_TELVIS on commenting about ‘TELVIS muscimol/yeast thesis, “They say it tastes better the second time around…”, i.e., telling him to drink piss and be off with himself. This being the reaction the unfortunate idiot ‘TELVIS received online to his badgerings when aforementioned ‘TELVIS refused to leave the poor man alone. Man, I tell you, I like to of (sic) fell out of my fucking chair laughing.
Bear told me one thing that has always stuck with me. He said he has always had an exceptional memory, especially when he was younger. We have that in common. Maybe that is one reason why he put up with my questions and actually answered a few of them while he hated ‘TELVIS. Lord, I can still remember poor ‘TELVIS reaction to the legend’s admonishments. Not that he didn’t deserve it 110%… *ROFLMAO*
And as Stan the Man used to say in every issue…EXCELSIOR!
